• Function

1.Sealing function: The piston ring kit includes gas rings and oil rings. The gas rings are responsible for creating a seal between the piston and the cylinder wall, preventing the high - temperature and high - pressure gas in the combustion chamber from leaking into the crankcase in large quantities. This ensures that the engine can generate sufficient pressure during the combustion process, enabling it to reach the designed power output.

2.Heat - transfer function: A significant portion of the heat generated by the piston during the engine's operation is transferred to the cylinder wall through the piston rings. This helps to dissipate the heat of the piston, maintain the normal operating temperature of the engine, and prevent the engine from overheating.

3.Oil - control function: The oil rings in the piston ring kit can scrape off the excess oil on the cylinder wall and distribute a thin, uniform oil film on the cylinder wall. This not only reduces the friction and wear between the piston, piston rings, and the cylinder but also ensures good lubrication, reducing energy consumption and extending the service life of the engine components.
