• Function

1.Sealing the exhaust port: The exhaust sleeve is inserted into the exhaust port of the cylinder head, and its outer surface is in close contact with the inner wall of the exhaust port. During engine operation, high-temperature and high-pressure exhaust gases are generated in the cylinder and need to be discharged through the exhaust port. The exhaust sleeve is compressed between the mating surfaces during assembly, filling the minute gaps and irregularities to form a tight, leak-free seal. This prevents exhaust gases from leaking out of the connection between the exhaust port and the exhaust manifold, ensuring that exhaust gases are properly directed through the exhaust system.

2.Ensuring engine performance: A reliable seal provided by the exhaust sleeve helps maintain the normal exhaust gas flow in the exhaust system. If the exhaust sleeve fails to seal properly, exhaust gas leakage will occur, which can disrupt the exhaust backpressure balance of the engine. This may lead to a decrease in power output and an increase in fuel consumption, as exhaust gas leakage can prevent the complete discharge of exhaust gases from the cylinder, affecting the intake of fresh air-fuel mixture and thus the normal operation of the engine.
