• Function

This pair of friction plate and separator plate is assembled inside the travel motor / final drive brake assembly for Hyundai crawler excavators. The friction plate with friction lining generates braking torque under hydraulic pressure; the steel separator plate works alternately with friction plates to transmit and release friction force. Together they control travel braking, hold the machine on slopes, and prevent slipping during static parking. They are a matched clutch/brake group and must be replaced as a set normally.
