Function

Holds and positions the planetary gears (planet gears) on their shafts.

Transmits torque from the orbiting planet gears to the output shaft (which drives the excavator’s upper structure rotation).

Distributes load evenly across multiple gear meshes, enabling high torque in a compact space.

Maintains precise gear alignment for smooth, efficient, and low-noise operation.

Application & Compatibility

191-2578 and 148-4637 are interchangeable (cross-reference parts).

Fit models: 318C, 319D, 320C, 320D, 320D2, 320E, 321C, 323D, 323E and similar variants.

Used in the second-stage (No.2) planetary gear set of the swing drive assembly.

Description

The Swing drive reducer gearbox rotates the top of the Excavator on the chassis together with the slewing gear bearing.
